4 Tools to Create Amazing Domain Names

Let me first take this opportunity to wish everybody a happy and prosperous 2010. As we move into this new year I hope each and every one of you has great aspirations for online success this year, and I hope that I can help you on your way. For my first post of the new year I will help you to create your own domain names (and I also list a few interesting available domain names that I spotted using the tools).

While all my available domain names are hand generated, there are some great tools to computer generate domains. Here are 4 great domain generators to help you create amazing domain names on your own (in no particular order):

• Make Words
  This tool is a balance of both random generation and keywords. You can find completely random names like exampli.com, defauth.com and polymoly.com or you can put in keywords, prefixes and suffixes to find a name tailored to your niche.
• Bust A Name
  If you have some keywords you want to start with, this is the tool for you. It’s a little more complex than the others but you can find some much more targetted names.
• Dot-o-mator
  Dot-o-mator takes 2 lists of words and then combines them to create great (and available) domain names like brightbeetle.com and battlemate.com.
• Domain Typer
  Primarily an AJAX domain availability tool, it lists some great random web 2.0 domains in the sidebar such as asoble.com, tiongo.com and vitary.com.
