Some Nexus One Domain Names

Use twitter? If you like this idea, give it a retweet. Please!

I was planning to wait for a day or so before my next post but I figured it would be more sensible to strike while the iron is hot. The tech savvy readers will have noticed that Google finally announced their Android phone - the Nexus One - today. New releases mean new websites, and new websites need domains.

If this is your first time on the site, make sure you join the newsletter and subscribe to the RSS feed to get the latest domains and ideas as soon as they are posted. You can also find me on Twitter.

If you choose to register a name I just ask that you post in the comments section, and maybe give a bit of blurb about your ideas for the site.

5 Nexus Domain Names Available to Register

  • nexushub.com
  • nexustips.com
  • preordernexus.com
  • nexusbackgrounds.com
  • nexuslounge.com

(Strikethrough means the domain has been registered.)

I have no idea of the legality of the names, and as such I accept no liability for any of them. As far as I know, Google only holds the trademark for the term ‘Nexus One’ and not ‘Nexus’. This is reflected in the list. Please seek further legal advice if you have any doubts.

Nexushub.com has been registered already, it only took 5 minutes!

    Haha cheers Nathan.

Such websites are usually beneficial to the actual product, providing what is essentially free promotion. As such you generally find that companies turn a blind eye to names like this.

Registered nexusbackgrounds.com - Planning to launch it sometime this week! I’ll keep you posted

Just grabbed Nexus Lounge, should make a nice magazine news site.

Registered nexustips.com. Hope I don’t get sued by google for this, especially when I have regged this domain at godaddy.
Anyways, I have turned into a loyal reader of this website. This website is great.

I have registered http://www.Nexus1Usa.com, the question is how could i benefit from it, should i add cell phones (including nexus one)as affiliate products, or sell the domain, where and for how much.

    Many Thanks.

@Andy Thanks for letting us know. I look forward to the launch. Feel free to contact me (with the Cogroll contact form) when it’s launched and I will give it a mention somewhere.

@Chris Brandrick That was probably my favourite of the bunch. Lounge always makes me think of a forum so perhaps throw one of those in somewhere.

@Phalgun I don’t think you will have any legal problems. Like I said earlier, most websites created about Nexus are inevitably free promotion for Google and as such they are more likely to allow them rather than take legal action.

@Morris It’s a nice domain but due to the fact you have the full Nexus One phrase in there I think you might have a few legal problems. It would be best to sell it on for some profit while you still can.

    Hey James,

    Re: NexusLounge.com

I am planning to run it as a news magazine blog, it’s currently set up running on Wordpress, and I may add a bbPress forum in order to get some discussion going. I have got a few posts up there, but I would love to get some more contributors on board, and think about monetizing.

Thanks again for bringing the domain to my attention.

    Chris.
