This idea certainly isn’t new. My favourite script for this is probably Shaun Inman’s LESSN script (creator of Mint, Fever and the like):

Shaun Inman, always one step ahead. Interesting he should come up though as I was considering trying Mint earlier today.

I have not yet decided if I need my own short URL service. But it is certainly a good idea.

I was hoping to have a similar service for one of my gaming sites. Although I’m not to sure what short URL could work for the Gamebrit.com address.

.it is easily available and is $14.99 a year at GoDaddy.

Some available ones that might suit: gmbr.it or gamebr.it
