Inspire Yourself By Logging Your Achievements
To-do lists are a vital tool for every aspiring entrepreneur. Keeping track of what you need to do makes work-flow a lot easier. Having said that, it’s always a bit depressing looking at a full to-do list. The only positive aspect is watching the list shrink as you complete tasks. However, once you’ve finished a task on the list, they just vanish like they were never done!
The Solution
Introducing the ‘Achievement Log’. Instead of all your achievements just disappearing into thin air, list them in a blog-type site. Every time you do something, you write it down in your achievement log where it will be a visible reminder - to you and others - of exactly what you have been doing.
How To Make It
To create the Achievement Log website, Wordpress MU would be more than enough. Just change the default user theme to a simple list style blog and you can have your users posting their daily achievements in no time. A quick domain search reveals that achievelog.com is available - however there is definitely room for a slightly more creative name.
Conception
My idea for this site came about from wanting to keep blog readers informed of the latest changes. If I made a design tweak, I could post it in my achievement log where it would not only help the user understand the change, but also encourage the user to check it out - essentially getting more traffic.
Harness Twitter
It would also make sense to integrate such a tool into Twitter. Every time you post an achievement it is echoed as a tweet and notifies all your followers of your latest feat.
And Finally
At the end of the day, when you are winding down, you can read over your achievement log and feel good in yourself knowing that you have achieved all those things today.

You’re right about finishing your to-do lists and the tasks just vanishing. I list my achievements in forums and now I’ve started a new page on my blog to do it - I think it’s really important. It will help keep me going, too, as I always want to make sure I have something to show for my time!
Maybe there should be a Twitter tag, #achievement or something similar. Then it would be possible to filter all the achievements from a Twitter feed and display them.
